Project Overview

ENTERPRISE BIDDING PLATFORM is a robust B2B auction ecosystem engineered to handle high-concurrency bidding wars while strictly enforcing permissions and compliance across different corporate tiers.

Architecture & Backend Engineering

• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Implemented a highly granular, policy-driven authorization system using Pundit. It safely isolates actions for Admins, Buyers, Sellers, and Auditors across multi-tenant environments.
• Real-time Auctions: Leveraged ActionCable (WebSockets) and Redis to broadcast bid updates, outbid notifications, and timer syncs with sub-second latency to all connected clients.
• Data Integrity & Audit Trails: Engineered append-only event sourcing for bids and strict PostgreSQL transaction locks to prevent race conditions during high-frequency bidding moments.
• Asynchronous Processing: Configured Sidekiq for offloading email notifications, report generation, and automated auction closing tasks.
